Junior Gameplay Programmer
The goal at XR Games is to be the best developer of VR titles in the world.
Due to the success and critical acclaim of our previous projects such as Zombieland: Headshot Fever and Angry Birds Under Pressure our team is now working on numerous major projects with recognisable IP’s throughout 2022 and 2023.
Having won ‘Best small studio’ at the 2021 TIGA awards our team is growing in all areas of game development as we transition from a small start-up studio to an established multi-disciplined games studio specialising in full-scale immersive extended reality games. Led by a team with big game experience at studios such as Rockstar, EA, Codemasters, Playground, Dubit and Sumo we have created games for some of the world’s biggest brands such as Sony, Rovio, Dreamworks and Lego.
We’re now looking for a talented gameplay programmer to work on one of the most exciting VR games in development anywhere! This could be suitable for somebody junior who is looking for their first role in the industry or it could be suitable for somebody with 1-2 years’ experience in a studio role. What's important to us is what you can do.
As a gameplay programmer you will be attuned with how the player feels and will have the opportunity to make a big AAA game feel even better in virtual reality!
The right person for this role will have a portfolio showcasing their gameplay abilities in games projects.
Your primary language will be C++ and you will be the kind of person who can learn new game engines without much hassle. This role requires a highly motivated individual, who is confident and is happy to share their ideas to help drive the project.
VR experience isn't a necessity but it will bring big bonus points!
Deep understanding of C++
Clean and robust programming

Creative attitude to problem-solving
Ability to work as part of a team and take an initiative
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
