Head of Digital Marketing

XR Games is an award-winning games studio based in Leeds, UK. We make console and mobile games and have a specialism in VR / AR game production for established IPs. Our goal is to maximise the value of our prior work experiences to efficiently progress game concepting, design, production and testing.

 

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Digital Marketing to join the team in-house position for console, PC, and online brands.

Specifically, we are looking for a consumer-oriented person who is interested in the online marketing of video games. This individual will  be responsible for leading the studio's campaign strategy, development and execution of upcoming titles with oversight from the management team.

 

Within this role you will:

  • Take a leadership role in digital strategy, planning, execution, optimisation, and measurement/reporting across assigned titles, pre and post launch.Report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and compare to the goals required. Conduct testing on digital marketing strategies to ensure success.  

  •  Partner with cross-functional teams and international partners to optimize tactics/programs.

  • Lead coordination of executional details including assets, approvals and timelines; align with international partners and share best practices.

  • Partner with CEO to develop content strategy and specific tactics as well as style guides for assigned titles, across social platforms, websites, stand-alone destinations, etc.

  • Manage content calendar and day-to-day content approvals/posting based on best practices.

  • Manage all day-to-day agency and internal production communication.

  • Work with web producer to develop and lead website content strategy.

  • Develop recommendations for new channel launches.

  • Work with leadership and analytics to set KPIs and benchmarks for tactics and programs; gather analytics and metrics for reporting and assemble post-mortems and reports.

  • Manage day-to-day relationship with external media team ; review reporting and make optimisation recommendations; lead execution of agreed upon optimisation plans.

  • Leverage internal tools to inform strategies, drive optimisation, and support real time marketing objectives.

  • Identify and share digital marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.

 

We need you to have:

  • 4-6 years of experience in digital marketing; preferably at another consumer-based company or agency

  • Strong knowledge of digital & social marketing programs including: digital production, social media behaviour, digital targeting, research & analytics

  • Strong experience managing digital and social media channels

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong time management skills

  • Entertainment or video game industry experience

  • Collaborative, proactive and solutions orientated

  • Passion for internet and gaming culture a plus

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK.
