XR Futures is a brand new talent initiative created by XR Games to help young people take their first steps into the games industry.

XR Futures is here to help provide opportunities and advice for those who are looking to enter the games industry for the first time. Whether this is through an opportunity to work directly at XR Games or by accessing advice and guidance from some of the most talented game developers in the industry.

We’ve made it our mission to help build the next generation of virtual reality game developers and we want you to be a part of our journey.

Our dedicated internship programme will enable young people the opportunity to work for a fixed term at XR Games on our projects. Our internships last 12 months and are paid roles, ideal for those who want to do a placement year while studying.

Working alongside industry professionals, XR Futures’ internships provide you with the chance to develop your skills while working on commercial game projects.

APPRENTICESHIPS

XR Games is committed to providing alternative routes into the industry that don’t necessarily involve studying at university. The Level 7 Games Programming Apprenticeship is something we are hugely excited to be able to offer.

This apprenticeship will see people who have not followed the traditional academic path have an opportunity to train and develop into a Games Programmer role, developing new skills, working with leading industry talent to harness their potential, and put them on the path toward achieving their dream jobs.

Applications for our 2022/23 Programming Apprenticeship have now closed. Check back soon for future apprenticeship opportunities!
